How do we get started?

The way it works with me is simple.  People contact me to see if I am available for their pet care job, and then I immediately look at my calendar to see if I'll be able to accommodate during the dates and times requested.  If I am available, we can then set up a time to meet in person to go over the fine details of your pet care job.  I l like to take notes during the initial "meet and greet" so I won't miss anything that's discussed.  If my schedule happens to be full for the time period requested then I can refer you to other excellent pet sitters in the area.  The easiest way to reach me for your pet care inquiry is through this website, using the form on the "contact me" page.  I will then get back to you with more information, usually within a few hours.  Thank you for your interest in my pet care services.    

 

How long have you been pet sitting and house sitting?

I have been doing this since the summer of 2000.

How many pets have you taken care of?

I have personally cared for over 5000 animals in the time that I have been pet sitting. Each one of these pets was taken care of according to their owners' specific instructions.

What kinds of pets can you take care of?

I have taken care of cats, dogs, birds, lizards, snakes, turtles, aquarium fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, and even ferrets.

What parts of the Bay Area can you service?

I am based out of San Francisco and I have clients as far south as Los Altos and as far north as San Rafael. San Francisco and The Peninsula are the most common service areas.

Are you bonded and insured?

Are you a member of any pet related organizations?

SirPet is a member of Pet Sitter's International, the world's largest pet sitting membership organization. I also support our local SPCA and well as other pet based charities.

What specific services do you provide?

In addition to walking your dogs and feeding your cats, I will watch your house, check your mail, water your yard  or plants and do whatever else is necessary to ensure that you have peace of mind while you are away.

Do you have references?

I can provide you with as many references as you would like.  I start with up to five references.  All references are clients who have hired me to watch their pets and/or home.  You can also read about Sir Pet on Yelp.

What are your rates?

I charge between $25 and $70 per day, depending on the situation.  These rates are always negotiable, especially for longer term sits.

​

Do you do overnight sitting ?

Absolutely.  Many of my clients require overnight stays, so that is no problem if I have the availability.
